Senior Neighbors Mission Statement About Us
Senior Neighbors, Inc. promotes the well being of older adults by providing services which support appropriate individual self sufficiency, especially to those with the greatest physical, social and psychological needs.
In taking a community leadership role, the agency works with other organizations to provide coordinated services, makes clear its advocacy positions, and educates the community about issues and concerns facing older adults.
About Us:
Senior Neighbors was founded in 1972 to help older adults in Kent County. During the past 30 years, Senior Neighbors has continually evaluated the greatest needs of the 60 plus community and worked to meet those needs.
The agency has several Senior Neighbors Centers located throughout Kent County, Michigan.
Senior Neighbors also has over seven case managers who help older adults with more than twenty different services.
Senior Neighbors is continuing to grow and shape the way older adults live by providing essential services to promote independent living.
* Informational Presentation
The Senior Neighbors Outreach Worker is available to give informational presentations to various groups. Presentations can be made to church groups, government agencies, service providers, and other groups interested in learning more about Senior Neighbors services to seniors and the community.
* Senior Neighbors Display Board
The Senior Neighbors portable display is available for various events which cater to those interested in senior issues and the challenges of maintaining independence.
