Daily Phone Contact
Daily Connections is a program designed to bring peace of mind into the lives of Kent County residents who are homebound.
Daily Connections serves as a safety net for those who fear having a medical emergency or accident and not receiving assistance until days later.
Daily Connections seeks to identify client difficulties in the areas of health, diet or finances. The program also provides social contact.
Daily Connections is a free service to any Kent County resident who qualifies.
Qualifications:
Homebound or socially isolated persons age 60 and over willing to fully participate in the program can qualify. The older adult must have access to a telephone on a daily basis.
Security Precautions:
The following precautions are used to screen volunteer callers to insure the safety of our clients:
- Personal interview
- All references are checked
- Criminal conviction checks are done with the State of Michigan
To begin receiving a Daily Connections telephone reassurance call, or to become a volunteer Daily Connections caller, call Senior Neighbors at (616)459-6019.
