Transportation

Senior Neighbors helps get older adults around town. Various programs are in place depending on each person’s individual needs and limitations. Transportation can be arranged to include medical appointments, grocery store visits, trips to Senior Neighbors Centers and other essential services.
  • City Bus: Senior Neighbors purchases and distributes City Bus tickets to seniors in need of public transportation in order to gain access to essential services.

  • GoBus!: Senior Neighbors purchases and distributes GoBus! tickets to handicapped seniors in need of transportation.

  • PASS (Passenger Adaptive Suburban Service): PASS is designed to increase access for those not living on fixed bus routes. This service allows area residents to schedule trips on smaller vehicles that then take them to meet up with the fixed route. PASS will also take people to appointments in a limited service area.

  • Senior Neighbors Vans: Senior Neighbors has a van available in each of the following centers: Sparta, Lowell, Grandville and the Downtown Senior Neighbors Center.

  • Transportation is an Essential Service and an Important Way that Senior Neighbors is keeping Older Adults in Kent County Independent.
