Volunteer Opportunities

Senior Neighbors is an agency for the community, but it is also very lucky to have so many from the community volunteering to make it run efficiently. Volunteers are a part of who Senior Neighbors is.

Some of the opportunities include:

• Offering Transportation to medical or other appointments
• Delivering Home Delivered Meals
• Telephoning homebound seniors
• Making gifts and cards for shut-ins
• Helping serve and clean up during daily meals
• Teaching classes at the centers
• Delivering products to homebound
• Answering the telephone at a center
• Serving on the Senior Neighbors Board of Directors

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Kent County has hundreds of volunteer opportunities at more than 180 locations throughout the county. If there was always something you wanted to do when you grew up, RSVP probably has it available.
